	In Sydney, Australia, an international conference of scholars and doctors held talks on circumcision, and debated whether it is equivalent to female genital mutilation and should be banned as FGM is. "Prof. [Greg] Boyle said circumcision was a violation of a child's human rights and should be considered an offence to be prosecuted through the courts."
