A group of 16 Democrats signed a letter Monday vowing to blocking Mrs. Pelosifrom returning to her role as speaker after Democrats reclaimed their majority in the midterm elections. The letter, signed mostly by white men, with the exception of Reps. Kathleen Rice and Linda Sanchez, argues that Democrats won back the House on a “message of change” and that shaking up the party’s leadership would deliver on that message.

"If anything, I think that what it does is that it creates a window where we could potentially get more conservative leadership,” she said. “And when you actually look at the signatories, it is not necessarily reflective of the diversity of the party. We have about 16 signatories, 14 of them are male. There are very few people of color in the caucus. There’s very few ideological diversity. It’s not like there are progressives that are signing on. It’s not like you have a broad-based coalition.'

AOC wants the Speaker to be as lefty Dem as possible. Her vision is indeed pro-new leadership that is united: in the social Dem vein.

Unity of vision is nice. But even more important is what exactly is the vision in question.

In case you haven't figured it out already, you're soon to be personna non grata. You need money from the party to run for office. Soon that will be drying up. Those of you well off enough and willing to finance your own races will find yourselves unendorsed by the party except where there are no non-white or female contenders in the primary. You see, the Dem party has morphed. Not fully publicly, but it has happened. It has become the Party of Women and Non-Whites With An Emphasis On Women. It is in process of purging you from its ranks. You can go independent if you want or join the GOP. The vision the Dem leaders now have for the party includes women and non-whites on one side of the House and white men plus a few more conservative white women on the other. Then the brawl begins.

If you are a white male Dem, plan to be something other than a Dem by 2030. If you remain as one, be prepared to remain quiet at the meetings and hope no one accuses you of anything.
