"Can We Be Honest About Women?"

Article here. Excerpt:

'David French of National Review recently wrote an article asking, “Can we be honest about men?” In it, he laments the avalanche of sexual harassment cases in the media, politics, and entertainment, asking, “When will it end?”
...
Here’s a little secret we have to say out loud: Women love the sexual interplay they experience with men, and they relish men desiring their beauty. Why? Because it is part of their nature.

Women want to be desired by men, to attract them, to be the only woman in the world for that man. Their beauty is an essential part of their allure, especially when men and women first meet. They have little else to go on because they don’t know each other, and beauty serves as a guidepost to greater interest.

Outside of a woman looking for a mate, her beauty is a source of power because men and other women value it. This is why married women still want to be beautiful. It’s an expression of their femininity, which doesn’t disappear at the altar.'

I agree with the article about women and sexual interplay. I had thought about writing something similar, but could never find the right words.

This part of the article nails it:

"Here’s a little secret we have to say out loud: Women love the sexual interplay they experience with men....."

... despite frequent complaints about men in general, the last thing the average woman wants is to be pretty much "left alone" (ie, ignored) by men in general.

I still say to women just so worn down by the terrible presence of men in their lives this: What ARE you waiting for? The opportunity to create a woman-only society has FINALLY emerged and what, you're not taking it? I have a working name for you: Femina, the Women's Republic of. Just put together a GoFundMe campaign. Raise money, buy cheap empty land or locate a county somewhere that's in serious financial crisis (may I suggest looking in Illinois) and just take it over. Create big gated woman-only communities with woman-only businesses, etc. You can do this.

What ARE they waiting for?

Oh yeah, that's right. They're waiting for men to do it for them.

Silly me.

There's nothing funnier to me then a woman standing in high heels, with bright lipstick and a boob job, telling a crowd that women are not to be objectified!!

This is why feminism will never win.  Biology always shines through.

It's a woman's nature to want to be desired.

Women have reproduction value and men have utilitarian value.  A person may be upset at how nature assigned these values, and if they don't like it they can figure out their own ways to live a happier life, but people cant demand that everyone in society share their feelings, or try and call it social construct when it is really biology.

This is why feminists cannot get away from doing or promoting the behavior they claim to be so against. Instead, they should try being honest with themselves.

French has no obvious ability to comprehend why men do the following:

"Object all you want, but it’s true. Indeed, for men, having a beautiful woman on your arm is often seen as the ultimate marker of status. Become successful enough — no matter your looks or social awkwardness or painful dating history — and a beautiful woman is your reward."

The reason men do this is because women are attracted to men with wealth and power. When women start liking men of modest means with beer bellies, men will aspire to have modest means and beer bellies. He wants to condemn this aspiration to power as a moral failing of men without acknowledging that women want men with power and wealth.

Women put on makeup to attract men; men get wealthy to attract women. Is French so blind he can't see that? He condemns the man without condemning the woman. If it's morally wrong for men to acquire power to attract women, why isn't it morally wrong for women to be attracted to powerful men? And is he completely unaware that women often take advantage of these men--including by filing false claims of harassment to receive a fat settlement?

"Sexual temptation is so powerful and omnipresent that no human society will ever be free of sexual scandal, but there are moral systems that — if applied — can mitigate original sin."

I suppose asking men to be moral beings is not too much to ask--except, of course, if we give women a free pass on it all. I find it both disturbing and amusing that feminists can clearly see the moral failures of men's sexual behavior but suffer from moral myopia when it comes to taking the life of their own child. As a culture, we cannot demand moral purity from men as long as we allow women to practice human sacrifice, often to cover up their own sins. Why are we supposed to accept the deaths of 1 million unborn children a year but are expected to be outraged if a man grabs a woman's behind? What kind of morality is that?

Men who object to abortion are told they are trying to control women's sexuality. Apparently the sexual freedom of women is so important that we must be willing to sacrifice a human life to make sure the woman's sexual freedom is not restrained. As to men, well, they should be punished for telling a dirty joke.

French says men should aspire to a higher purpose, but never suggests women do the same. French also objects to schools handing out condoms, without mentioning they also hand out birth control pills--and even help female studens obtain abortions.

I was outraged by French's article. It's not that he can't see: he refuses to see. McAllister, on the other hand, gives a great response.
