Once again brainwashed world leaders affirm that only girls are worth saving

'The U.N. children’s agency said on Saturday that hundreds of children were abducted two weeks ago by an armed group in South Sudan that is suspected to have ties with the country’s military.

UNICEF had previously said about 89 boys, some as young as 13, were forcibly recruited by an armed group near the town of Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile state, in mid-February. The agency said *the boys were taken while doing their exams, in a recruitment operation that appeared to target mostly adults in the area known as Wau Shilluk.

UNICEF said in a statement Saturday that it is now “confident that the armed group which took the children ... is aligned with” South Sudan’s military. It said the group is led by Johnson Oloni, a general who once fought against the government but joined the national army in 2013.'

It is appalling how often males are ignored by the world even though they suffer similar or worse fates than females. This article highlights the fact that hundreds of boys from South Sudan have been abducted, yet not a word of it has been mentioned in the media, let alone any outrage shown by any politician anywhere. When a few hundred girls were abducted by Boko Haram last year the world went nuts and President Obama (and others) was immediately front and center on the issue. However, when the rights of boys have been violated and their lives are at risk, he's been noticeably absent, as has every other world leader, male or female. You would think some of these leaders might have sons and therefore would demonstrate the same outrage that they showed over the kidnapping of the girls, yet silence is their response. Is it because they have been brainwashed by the female chauvinists that only girls are important enough to save or is it because males have always been expendable in the eyes of society?  Whatever the case, the silence has been deafening and despicable.
