Link here. Excerpt:

'At today’s Data2X event in New York City, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Heather Higginbottom along with former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, jointly committed to Data2X’s mission to promote gender-sensitive data. Deputy Secretary Higginbottom underscored the importance of gender-sensitive data for building an evidence base that will lead to more effective policy and development decisions. She also announced that, for the first time, the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief’s (PEPFAR) newly redesigned PEPFAR Dashboards will now include data disaggregated by age and sex. This is part of the U.S. government’s commitment to making the empowerment of women and girls a foundational goal of U.S. foreign policy.

Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) CEO Dana J. Hyde and U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, Ambassador Deborah L. Birx, M.D., joined Deputy Secretary Higginbottom at the event and highlighted the U.S. government’s commitment to advancing the status of women and girls through increased availability, accessibility, and use of gender-sensitive data.
...
Finally, MCC is working with PEPFAR and other partners to sponsor an open data challenge to incentivize the use of gender data to improve gender policy and practice, as well as to raise awareness of challenges that women and girls face around the world.'

... they get stats showing males in far greater danger or affliction than females for something? My guess is that they'll ignore/suppress it and do what they've always done. Lie. Lie by omission. Lie by obfuscation. Lie by use of terms of art. Lie by just plain willfully misrepresenting the facts. Lie by reporting conclusions they know to be false. Lie by reporting of half-truths and facts removed from context. And finally, lie by lying.

And if they are forced into not lying somehow, they'll cancel the program and try again next year.

There are liars, there are damned liars, there are statisticians, there are politicians, there are feminist politicians, and then there are politician feminist statisticians.

Mark Twain, eat your heart out.

Even if 80% of the homeless are men, women are "disproportionately affected."

Even if 100 men die for 1 women, women are "disproportionately affected."

I mean, has anyone ever heard of a case where men are "disproportionately affected"?

I've never heard of a single problem in which men are described as "disproportionately affected."

Of course, what the phrase "disproportionately affected" really means is we care about women and don't give a tinker's darn about men.

It has nothing to do with "proportion." The official sources will always find a way to make it seem that women have it worse. And because women have it worse, government funds and other resources will flow to women. That's why George Will described victimhood as a "coveted status": victims get rewarded.

So Matt's right: there won't be any male victims because then we would have to reward them. Can't have that.
