Y Bother: Men Are Doomed

Anonymous User writes "Another british male biologist (Bryan Sykes, professor of human genetics at Oxford University) claims that men are doomed to be extinct and that women will rule the planet. I feel that the article is in a fairly mocking tone as usual with these types of reports.

Farrell Discusses Historic Campaign for Governor

Best-selling men's issues author Warren Farrell discussed his historic men's and fathers' rights campaign for Governor of California on His Side with Glenn Sacks on KRLA 870 AM in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 17. To listen to the archived version of the show, go to His Side.

Farrell put forth his long-term solution to relieving California's budget problems--keeping fathers in children's lives. Farrell proposed a package of reforms to solve this problem, including the rebuttable presumption of joint custody and placing legal limits on post-divorce move-aways.

You reap what you sow

bernee writes "This article in the Sydney Morning Herald outlines how the Australian government is suffering somewhat of a rebound from legislation originally formulated to ‘protect’ battered wives. Immigration legislation was amended to allow foreign spouses who were being sponsored by Australian residents special treatment when it came to getting a visa if they had been subjected to domestic abuse. It seems many women were abusing the system (surprise, surprise). Being the egalitarian society it is, law required the Australian legislators to make this legislation gender neutral – of course, only women are abused, aren’t they. Lo and behold men are now applying in droves for protection under the law."

No Justice in Canadian Family Courts

AFG writes "Here is a good site dealing with the corrupt and feminist controlled family courts in Canada. Take a look at some of the articles and letters and get a good idea of why Canada's family court system is one of the most misandrist in the world.

End Rape Shield!

I heartily agree with this editorial, which calls for an end to shielding the names of women, who accuse men of rape. It's good to see that this idea is finally being openly debated. Also, I've noticed a reduction in the rate at which accusers of rape are referred to in the press as "victims." They are now often referred to as "alleged victims." That alone is a major step forward. The press, these days, isn't always going along with the hateful, feminist declaration that no woman would ever lie about being raped.

Next step? Prison for false accusers and a lifetime position on a national, public registry.

And Men Need...

This cracked me up. At least the fembots recognize that women will need robots, which are far more complex than inflatable dolls. ;)

More on the M-Word

The following are a few essays on marriage and divorce.

In the first, "Custody Court Massacre," Bernard Chapin describes the destruction of a friend of his by the divorce court. In the second, "(C-BINO) Confirmed Bachelor In Name Only", Chapin explains why he thinks marriage, given the right circumstances, may still conceivably be a realistic option for a man.

The third essay, by Robert Jackson, "Free Market Marriage," strikes me as downright bizarre at the end, but it might be worthy of some discussion.

And then there's this one, by W. James Antle III, entitled "The problem with marriage today – is me."

I truly wonder if the institution of marriage has been mortally wounded.

Fred Lane's wife pleads guilty to manslaughter

Doug writes "As per this story that just broke, the wife of former Carolina Panthers running back Fred Lane has plead guilty to killing him. Apparently she was trying to cash in on a 5-million dollar life insurance policy. It's interesting to note that her defense was centered around allegations of abuse by her husband, but she was still convincted."

Online Petitions

LeMorteMark writes "While politicians are not legally required to look at online petitions it would be my guess that some do.

Here is a link to a petition of male interest. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/10401765 6

Also does anyone know of a political party devoted to mens issues?"

Is School House Rock Anti-Male?

amperro writes "Remember the educational cartoon School House Rock? The one titled "Unpack Your Adjectives" goes like this:

"Girls who are tall can get taller," (Girl grows)
"Boys who are small can get smaller," (Boy shrinks)
"Till one is the tallest" (Girl becomes giant while boy gets tiny)
"And the other's the smallest of all." (Girl CRUSHES BOY WITH FOOT).

We even teach children that violence against males is acceptable!"

NH Men's Commission Nominees Confirmed

The New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Men has been plagued by delays and problems for more than a year now. Finally, NH Governor Craig Benson has made two solid nominations for the commission and on Wednesday, they were confirmed by the Executive Council. Attorney Gerry Boyle from Plymouth, NH and Mike Geanoulis from Newcastle, NH are now officially members of the commission. Mr. Geanoulis is also president of the NH Chapter of NCFC and has led much of the activism in NH for men's and father's rights. This is definitely something to cheer about!
