Deputy’s Wife Still Allowed to Teach Despite Admitting to Oral Sex with 14-Year-Old Student

Article here. Excerpt:

'In January 2018, Dori Myers denied that she had performed oral sex on a 14-year-old student. Fast forward to August, and Myers has not only admitted to doing this on “multiple occasions” in “multiple locations,” she’s also being punished very lightly for it.

According to the New York Post, Myers entered a guilty plea on Wednesday to a criminal sex act and will have to register as a sex offender. What Myers won’t have to do is go to jail or surrender her teacher’s license. The latter detail is perhaps the most jarring. Instead, Myers will spend the next 10 years on probation, leaving her little margin for error henceforth.
...
Myers, who was a social studies teacher at The New School for Leadership and the Arts in Kingsbridge, reportedly entered her guilty plea a day earlier than anticipated to avoid media coverage. Myers has lost her job, but her lawyer asked the judge to “preserve the possibility” his client can teach “adults now or in the future.”

“She still is a talented teacher and has those skills, and I don’t see any reason to destroy her ability to make a living and to contribute to society in a positive way,” Myers’ lawyer Andrew Stoll said. The judge did not strip Myers of her license and said that it was up to the Department of Education.'

Home-schooling, curriculum provided. All perfectly legal. No school shooters, predatory female teachers, vile feminist teachers, nutty Marxist teachers, detached school admins just waiting to retire, or bullies beating him up in the hallway. Sounds good to me.

Just a little something about K12 online public schools and "homeschooling".

The term "homeschooling" has broadened and depends on who you ask.  The Grassroots homeschooling community use the term to mean educating children without  any government oversight, so it would not include "K12" online school. Many families have left the government schools to homeschool (homeschooling numbers go up every year), Every time a student leaves the government education system, the government school system looses funding for that student.  Homeschooling has created a financial crises for the public school system.

So the US pubic schools have responded by creating the "K12" online schools, hoping to retain some students that just want an alternative setting (notice they don't  call it "homeschooling").  The system is part of the government's public education system, so they retain funding for that student.  And while it may solve many of the issues Matt mentions, the curricula is still the same and the whole educational experience comes from a very feminist mindset (most in public education system are liberal feminists). And just a sidenote: it is not a "go at your own pace" program.  A student in K12 online has set daily class schedule (must log-in at a set time) and, has same daily attendance requirements and follows the same school calendar as those in traditional school. From what I hear I high percentage drop after the first few weeks - it's a financial waste, but what do they care, it's only taxpayer money.

So if you really want to escape the anti-male public school system, I suggest real homeschooling not K12, besides why let them have your funding from taxes?

PS- actually an MRA goal should be to break the public school system.  Ask yourself what are they doing for you?
