Single Mom January Jones: Father Figure Would Be Toxic For My Son

Article here. Excerpt:

'Toxic masculinity is a very real problem. Just ask January Jones.

The former Mad Men actress says she’s a proud single mom whose son doesn’t need a father because she doesn’t want a man around the house to teach him “sh**ty things.”

Speaking to Red magazine, the actress best known for her role as Betty Draper says that she prefers to parent her five-year-old son Xander without any dad figures in his life. She believes having a strong male influence would do the boy more harm than good.

“It’s good to have strong women around a man. To teach him to respect women,” she said. “He doesn’t have a male person in his life saying ‘don’t cry’ or ‘you throw like a girl.’ All those sh**ty things dads accidentally do.”'

I hate to break it to her, but most single mothers raise less-successful children compared to two-parent families and there is a greater chance boys raised by single mothers will end up as dropouts, have brushes with the law, addiction or end up in prison. The value of fatherhood has been well documented.

died last year, and I miss the hel out of him. my whole family does. he was a good husband/dad/gdad/ggdad. very glad he was in my life. he taught me a lot of things women don't have a clue about. those pushing this crapola are exactly what one would expect.

abominable (webster): hateful; loathesome

isn't it amazing how diametrically opposite and divided we are in this country?

I noticed how this author didn't include the stat concerning whether or not having a male father figure affects a male/female child's sexuality (gay vs straight). last time I heard a real stat (one not produced by feminists), it affected both genders, and especially boys.
